This matcha is the first harvest of spring (ichibancha), and single cultivar: Yabukita.

Some aroma specifics we have include – dried blueberries, sourdough starter, white cheddar cheese, and butter.
This matcha has a bitterness which quickly gives way to a satisfying fattiness: like the brief bite of bitter skin on a walnut
before the fatty nutty walnut flavour coats your mouth.
A bit of vegetal green bean umami and grassiness are hiding in there as well. The aftertaste is sweet, with light blueberry and some other hard-to-pin-down high notes.

The aroma of the empty chawan (teabowl) is buttery, cheesy, and with berries.
