On this day, we held a tea gathering at the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum.
The venue was the tea room adjacent to the museum, where we served tea alongside Ms. Michie Shiozaki, a tea master of the Omotesenke school, to visitors from overseas who came to see the museum.
This was our very first tea event at this location, and we were honored to welcome as many as 61 guests to the tea room. They enjoyed five different types of Nagasaki tea, as well as matcha prepared in the traditional Omotesenke style.
For us, this was our first attempt at organizing a tea gathering at the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, and although we are still learning, being able to take part in such an event in this meaningful place feels like a big step toward our mission: “Share a peaceful world through Japanese tea.”
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Hayashida, Ms. Nakagawara, Mr. Okubo, Ms. Shiozaki, Ms. Morisaki, and all the staff members who contributed to making this event possible.
