We are excited to be hosting our first tea tour as Ikedoki Tea.
Date: Sunday 15 March
Programme: 11 am – 3 pm
Cost: FREE
Meet us at 10:50 at the Farmer’s Market (‘Roadside station Sonogi-no-sho’) in Higashi-Sonogi. It is a 3 minute walk from Sonogi train station. Sonogi station is an easy direct train ride from Nagasaki (75 min), or Isahaya (30 min).
At 11 am we will start the tea tour with an introduction and a welcome tea in a traditional Japanese house next to the Farmer’s Market.
We then hop into a car to visit picturesque tea fields overlooking the Omura Bay and continue onwards to visit a tea factory.
After a short break for lunch at a local restaurant (lunch is at your own cost on this trial tour), we head back to the traditional house for a tea tasting session. We will taste around 8-10 of the local teas, including the region’s specialty: tamaryokucha.
